Type LDU-W
|
The high induction floor-mounted air diffuser type LDU-W is designed to ventilate, heat, and cool closed rooms such as offices, meeting or hotel rooms. It supports floor component activation.
Advantages
![]() | High thermal and acoustic comfort |
![]() | Compact, foot traffic resistant design. |
![]() | For heating and cooling in case of high supplied air/indoor air temperature differences (+15 to -8 K) |
![]() | Eye-catching high-quality design with stainless steel grille and frame. |
LTG system design for floor-mounted units – uniform appearance in all rooms with varying ventilating and air conditioning systems in the building
Varying conditions and comfort requirements may demand varying ventilating and air conditioning systems and the corresponding devices in the same building. So far, any system had its unique design. With the LTG system design the following units for varying air conditioning systems may be installed using the same air grille, identical by type and dimensions, thus resulting in the same look when installed:
![]() | Facade fan coil units type FVD and FVDplus for ventilating, heating, and cooling, for decentralized a/c systems. |
![]() | Fan coil unit type VKB for heating and cooling, for decentralized and central a/c systems |
![]() | Induction unit type HFB for ventilating, heating, and cooling, for central a/c systems |
![]() | Air diffuser type LDU-W for ventilating, heating, and cooling, for central a/c systems |
Type LDU
![]() Floor-mounted air diffuser LDU |
The floor mounted diffuser type LDU has been designed to ventilate offices, meeting rooms or entrance halls and may also provide A/C technology and protection against discomfort around floor-to-ceiling windows.
The product is ideally suited to floor integration arrangements and can be integrated with static heating surfaces to save space. High levels of thermal comfort are ensured through rapid residual temperature decay of the supply air, both in the heating and cooling modes.
Function
![]() Floor-mounted air diffuser LDU |
The floor mounted diffuser type LDU is a high-induction linear diffuser that spreads the supply air flow in diverging individual jets, in parallel with the facade, but over a very restricted area.
As a result of the rapid reduction of residual air speed and temperature differences, the field of application is broader than that of traditional swirl and displacement air diffusers.
Installation
LDU diffusers should be located at the perimeter wall/floor interface, and when connected to a suitable air supply, can be:
- installed in a raised access floor system
- or embedded into a floor screed
Air connection can be from the side or under-side of the supply plenum
Advantages
![]() | High thermal and acoustic comfort |
![]() | Compact design |
![]() | Reserve capacity can be in-built by commissioning a low flow rate or temperature reduction |
![]() | Solid, non-combustible construction |
![]() | Low maintenance costs |
![]() | Discrete integration in the floor |
Type BLA
![]() Floor-mounted air diffuser BLA |
The floor-mounted air diffuser type BLA has been developed for rooms which are subjected to high thermal loads, for example: computer suits, laboratories, offices, dealer rooms and multi-purpose halls.
The BLA is a highly inductive free-flow diffuser. The supply air is diffused vertically upwards from the floor and fanned out in individual jets. These jets cause the difference in velocity and temperature between the supply air and room air to be rapidly decayed.
Advantages
|
Comfort
By blanking half of the throttling device the standard 360° pattern can be changed to 180° air distribution.
|
Cost Effectiveness
|
Installation
Simple cleaning via easily accessible dirt trap. |
Type BLQ
Floor level air diffuser BLQ |
The floor level air diffuser type BLQ has been designed specifically for installation in raised false floors.
BLQ is suitable for air supply from below a glazed façade, and can also be used, in case of low cooling loads or in combination
with static cooling surfaces, for introducing necessary volume of conditioned fresh air to meet hygiene requirements. This diffuser type has also proven highly successful integrated beneath the steps and seats in theatres and other types of auditorium.
Function
The supply air is introduced into the room at a low velocity through a perforated panel. As a result of the perforated front face, the supply air is spread evenly.
In the zone close to the diffuser a turbulent mixed airflow ensures rapid quick heating of the air jets. The low-turbulance displacement air flow directs the supply air into the room along the floor where it rises over load areas (occupants, appliances etc.) and thus feeds fresh air while removing thermal and pollution loads from occupied spaces in a precise and comfortable manner.
